Welcome to the Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

Suncoast Chapter

Greetings Mothers, Guests & Community Partners,

I am so excited to welcome you back to our newly revamped website and to our 2016-2017 Program year.

I am extremely honored and humbled to be serving as President of the “Sensational” Suncoast Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.  This year is dedicated to “Planning with Purpose”!

As mothers and volunteers, we are committed to developing leaders in our children by providing purposeful programming that enriches them socially, culturally, legislatively and educationally.  Even more, we aspire to encourage our children to carry on the legacies of those that have come before them by serving as “drum majors” for justice and equality by volunteering and being involved with programming that will challenge their ideals while enriching their spirits.

In addition, the chapter has taken on that charge to recognize the unsung heroes within the communities of our chapter borders by hosting our first inaugural “Champions of Children: Hearts Afire (COCHA)” Family Gala.   This gala will recognize community members for their roles as leaders and active volunteers in professional service to children and to the broader community.

Mother’s as we work on our various committees and projects this year, we may get tired and discouraged.  However, we cannot allow that to change our commitment to planning with purpose.  Benjamin Franklin said it best “when you fail to plan, you plan to fail”!  Failure is not and will not be an option for our children!   So as we prepare to engage with our children and the community, let’s ensure that we hold one another accountable to the aims of the national organization.  By staying on course and being “purposeful” in all that we do when it comes to ALL children, we can approach the tasks by remembering this, “It all seems impossible, until it is done.”

Purposefully serving,

Cheryl Bradbury, M.B.A., Chapter President
